Is anybody using Apple Music on the K1?

The app has never been great on my Samsungs but has improved greatly with recent versions. On the K1 however it is pretty much unusable, not sure if it is an aspect ratio thing or maybe that the app is resource hungry and is too taxing for the K1?

Anybody else using Apple Music on the K1?

I use it, and while it was much better on my Pixel XL, I don't find it unusable on the KeyOne. It does seem though that the phone has trouble keeping up with the app though, but I am still able to just set a playlist and let it play.

I found it crashes when I try and download local files a lot and takes an age for my library to be ready

I transferred all my Apple Music into Google Play Music using Google Music Manager. Super easy plus all the old music I had stored on a SD card. all of it now in Google Play Music.
This way I don't have to have a Apple account and don't have to use a different device to download music just to use on my Android. Extra steps always with Apple. Google Play Music app is great on an Apple device as well.

Mine is the same, except all on Apple Music, did it years ago. Not sure what extra steps you are referring too, unless it is downloading the app. This gives me all my music on my phone, computer, iPad, etc. No steps it is just there.

You can't buy and download music from Apple Music so you have to go to different device and account in Apple app store. When you could have it all done directly from your KEYone within the Google Play Store account. But if you use your iPad still a lot then fine but I personally like to buy and download on the fly no matter where I am and I definitely don't carry a tablet wherever I go.

Why can't you download music on Apple Music? I download music all of the time on my KeyOne.

Ah, I see buy, well I am a subscriber to it, so I don't have to buy it, I just search and download any songs I want. Sorry, didn't see what you were saying.

I'm not talking about buying just downloading my own stuff. It is ok if I don't download too much but if I try and download say 2, 3 or more playlists it just does not play nice, freezes, crashes etc

I downloaded 8700 songs in one shot without problems. Of course it took a while though.

Thanks all, maybe I need to reinstall and give it another go? Another thing I have noticed is when I open the app and go to a playlist I have downloaded it shows as not being on the phone or even in my library. Takes a minute or so to refresh and and show up.

Sorry to jump on this thread, how can you transfer your downloaded music from internal storage to external storage? I'm assuming it's possible?

The thing that frosts me is that they still don't let me use the app to play my purchased and uploaded music in my iTunes Match Library. For which they collect an annual fee. One of these days I'm gonna just switch to Google Music,

If you have SD card set as external then when you select it in Apple Music settings the files should move over.

I switched everything over to Google Play Music. It took some time and effort to transfer many GB of files and fix the metadata. Further, I'm not going to praise Google's app as anything distinct from every other web-focused streaming service that begrudgingly allows us with an owned collection to upload it. However, I will say it works and I'm satisfied with it (same way I felt about Music - the destroyed aftermath of better versions of iTunes long past - on Apple devices). The days of abundant winamps are long gone.

not sure what the issue is - it works perfectly, no UI problems or anything. also worked great on the PRIV
