That's what I was thinking, and is it a given that Rogers will get it first? Or is there a possibility one of the other phones will get it before Rogers? Or does Rogers even know for sure when it will come?

It all comes down to contractual obligations between BBMo/TCL and the carriers. Unfortunately, those contracts never leaked to my knowledge. It is likely that BBMo/TCL agreed to a specific terms to get Rogers to carry the K1. Those terms could be that Rogers gets the next update first. It would definitely drive incentive to get your phone and plan from them.

as I recall Rogers did have exclusivity on the KeyOne release in Canada, so perhaps that exclusivity extends to the Oreo update. not sure if that extends globally, I think England was first to have it released
