    Annoying list appears when outgoing mail IA undertaken which is a scrollable list of all email addresses in hub while before the default would be auto-selected and others allowed only by activating the pull-down... how to prevent that?

    this... it pops without selecting the address space at all... never did that before

    User activated something in settings. Suggest that you spend some time figuring out what you did.

    I would seek comment from anyone else inasmuch as prior comments are unhelpful. I have examined permissions ad nauseum. This does not occur on Priv nougat.

    Yep,
    I get this too. All my own accounts show up in the list. Very annoying. If I find a setting to eliminate it I'll let you know. Please will you do the same! And good luck!

    how are you doing with this? In case you're still trying to sort it out -
    it's Google autofill. Autofill seems to have defaulted I to Google with the Oreo update (or mine has anyway and I suspect yours).
    Go to settings; system; language and input; - then scroll down to Autofill service and choose either password Keeper or none.
    I assume this will stop Google filling in passwords etc for apps and websites but it gets rid of the annoying list!
    It was driving me mad too!!
