Hey guys. As much as I love Password Keeper, I need something I can use on my PC also. Do you guys have any recommendations for password managers that I can use on my phone and on my PC? Preferably one that isn't based on a subscription model but I'm open to suggestions.

Big recommendation here for KeePass. You can use it practically on any device with any OS. I've been using it for about 7 years now.

edit: no subscription just outright buy on some platforms, free on others.

I use Evernote and I"ve all my notes in every device I use (tablet, pc, phone).
On the phone you can protect the app with a code.
I have all the password of the various websites saved on it

Works very well, paid version has some additional features that I don't use.

+1 for Enpass, it's free to use on any desktop and you pay a one-off purchase fee for the Android version.
They also had a BB10 version of Enpass (which I have on my Q10) but I believe support for that has now ceased.

I've been using DataVault for several yrs. had it on BB10. have it currently on desktop, iPad, and Keyone. it works well and is easy to sync up devices. not in cloud, which appeals to me.

it isn't as good as something like lastpass when it comes to browser integration. If this is important to you, look at other solutions. otherwise, DataVault is a great solution. Im very happy with it.

I also use KeePass. It works on Android, Windows and my Macbook. I keep the database synced across devices by keeping it a dropbox folder. If I update an entry on my phone, the update is synced to my windows laptop through dropbox.

Even better on iOS, especially iPad. You can use autofill from the Share Sheet in Safari and apps that enable it, and you can drag and drop from Slide Over or Split View to fill in fields in apps that don't support autofill.

Enpass. The cloud back up is to your cloud of choice, not theirs, and you could even just go with backup to SD and copy SD to your PC for "off grid" security. One time fee and flex data savings...i have passwords, registration, equipment serial numbers, driver license, clothing sizes, etc. saved in it (very flex ) Been using since BB 10 days with no issues.

I've used eWallet since my Palm days and it has stood the test of time from Palm, BBOS, BB10, and now Android with a desktop version for sync. Albeit, I don't sync with a desktop anymore. Also, I've never used BB's Password Keeper because I've always had eWallet. I'm not saying their haven't been kinks along the way with the different OS's in transition but I've been able to manage. Illumisoft also makes a version for the isheep too.

Are any of these more secure than the others? Obviously I need my passwords encrypted and safe from prying eyes, even those of the developer.

All of the apps mentioned are equal in security but I recommend KeePass because it is an open-source option meaning it fully discloses it's source code. Otherwise you are forced to trust that other companies you may have picked haven't installed any backdoors. In the real world they are probably all equal, but I remember some time back that LastPass was hacked so that sticks as a no go for me.

KeepassB is the BB10 app/version of KeePass. It is cross platform with all other versions of KeePass.

You can still use the android wrapper versions in BBW. I think there are 2 other versions there besides KeePassB. I used to use the free KPD (KeePass) version which is the open source port . It worked fine when I used it a few years ago but I decided to get the BB10 native app because I liked it so much and I wanted to support the dev at that time.

I've tried a few and settle on DATAVAULT. IT's accessible on alll devices and you can backup as file or to cloud. Lastly the security on this app is like fort knox as well. The pro version allows cloud backup but the reg version does now just so ya know .
