Using unlocked GSM keyone on ATT prepaid. Does selecting one of these APN's make a difference? If so, what are the differences? Will either one increase cell signal? -thanks!

None is going to help increase signal or anything like that. To keep it simple, one is just for basic phone usage, the other is essentially a more advanced APN that allows for data, voice over LTE, and other features. Keep in mind, changing to one is not really going to benefit you unless the wrong one was set initially, but changing from one to another could affect functions you use. - https://developer.att.com/technical-...haracteristics

Try this. Tap the phone icon and on your phone keypad type this
*#*#46368676#*#*. This will open a screen. Tap on "Phone info". Find "Set Preferred Network Type: Mine is set at "GSM auto(PRL)". You could also change it by tapping on the down arrow on the right.

Sorry for late response. I was unaware that any one had replied to my post. Here's a screen shot of what I'm working with...keep in mind I'm using an unlocked GSM keyone on AT&T prepaid. BBB-1001 build number ABO797

If I change my preferred network type, what will happen?
