Correct me if I'm wrong though, once you use an autoloader, the updates from provider will no longer work?
Only if you install an OS that your device variant doesn't get at some point.

Worst case - install the next one with an autoloader too.

I haven't torn it apart yet, but this is a true June OS build with the June patch level.
Does it force "update" to "inbox" alias "crippled Hub" ??

Autoloaders always contain the latest app versions as of build time.

I’m guessing this is the same build Rogers is going to push to their customers?

Conite - is there a set of detailed, step by step, instructions somewhere to follow? Why I ask is that boot to fastboot means little to me, remove password (which one), etc. As you can tell I am not the techiest person on the planet Terra.

Download autoloader to your PC and unzip it.

Turn off your device password, and then shut the phone off.

Once off, hold the power button and the down volume buttons at the same time, and within a few seconds you will see a service menu - this is fastboot mode.

Plug in the device to your computer.

Run the autoloader - either wipe or no-wipe .bat file.

I just updated my Indian version limited edition KEYone to the latest security patch. The process was easier than an automatic update. This specific KEYone was stuck on January patch and will likely not get any other updates. So i would echo Palaris2222 - thank you Conite for all the work you do for this community!

Which one is more recommended? Wipe or no-wipe?

I've actually never had a problem with either. Regardless, I'd start with the no-wipe option.

There haven't been any feature updates in well over a year. Basically security patches, and small bug fixes.

One last dumb question, Conite. When you say turnoff the device password do you mean the autowipe after 10 tries? Settings>security and location>screen lock>automatically wipe>off?

No. I mean select "none" for password.

So, there is no way to use the autoloader if I own a Mac, right?
Damn, and yes I could likely borrow a PC, just super busy right now....

I don't have a Mac (can't test), so I would say stick to the Windows .bat files.

Well isn't this a pleasant surprise! Thank you Telus.

Unlike AT&T, it's a June OS build too.

As per usual, no Indonesia, China, or CDMA.

Remove password, boot to fastboot, plug in device, and run.

Hi Conite. Just getting around to using your autoloader. Fast question - before turning off the password and changing the phone over fastboot mode, I plugged the phone into my pc just in case it didn't see phone for whatever reason. The PC sees the phone but when you click on the phone in the directory it shows "this folder is empty".

Is that normal and I should go ahead and use the autoloader.

    Thanks again.

    Totally normal. Just proceed.

BTW, you have to select file transfer on the device by swiping down if you wish to see your files via Windows Explorer.

When you're plugged in, there is a notification regarding USB status. Select that and you'll see choices.
