This is a big useless update for AT&T users.

Prior to this, AT&T was just adding patches to an August 2018 OS build.

This time, it's actually a June 2019 OS build.

Edit: Wrong. It's the same old OS build from last summer.

Is there anything new in the APK versions other than forcing keyboard?

Surprisingly, quite a few (compared to ABT975).

Although, most apps are older, lol. But newer compared to prior AT&T builds.

Wonder if there's anything in the OS dump; sometimes TCL engineers sign off their commits mentioning specific bugs.

It's unclear as to whether one is better off with an April OS and an April patch level, or an Aug 2018 OS and a June patch level.

I thought somewhere I read a certain ambassador say it was a June 2019 OS build and June patch level. I'm pretty sure the Captain Morgan had worn off by then. I think, maybe.....

Forget it, there was an edit.......

The update being discussed here is not for unlocked KEYone phones, correct?

Hmm. My AT&T KEYone is stuck on April. The May update downloaded, but never installed, and the "Check for Updates" AND "Continue Update" options are grayed out in my AT&T Software Update settings menu.

I tried a 32 second reboot, but that didn't reset whatever is hung up.

Any suggestions? I have no problem managing updates in Mac, Windows, Linux, etc., but I have no idea how an update can hang up like this in Android. Are there the equivalent of Windows registry settings I can check?

Clear the cache and "all data" for Google Play Services. Then reboot.

Thank you. Doing it now. So Google Play Services manages the OS updates?

    In some ways, yes.

OK, I cleared cache and all data for both my Google Play Services apps, as well as my Google Carrier Services apps for good measure. I have two versions of each app, one for personal and one for my Android for Work profile. I then performed a 32 second reboot.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed and my update options (Check for Updates and Continue Update) are still grayed out.

AT&T limits you to one check every 24 (?) hours. Set your date ahead a couple of days.

OK, but, I'm pretty sure I haven't made ANY checks, as the option is grayed out and inactive.

This go around and last go around for May, I had to manually adjust my date 30 days in advance for trigger, with few attempts necessary. For June update, it took six attempts. I ended up in November or December on the system clock.

Just a quick update, though I fear I'm hijacking the thread...AT&T is trying to push the update to me, but it's likely that a factory reset is in my future. Not a big deal, as I only have about 30 photos to transfer. Everything else is in the cloud.

In 15+ years with AT&T on BlackBerry this will be my first required factory reset. I've always been able to simply update OTA without a hitch, and I've never had an unstable or corrupted device.

So, my perspective is that Android is much less stable than BB10.
