Remove passwords, reboot to fastboot mode, run batch file of choice (wipe or no-wipe).

Success - thank you very much!

On another note, is anyone experiencing problems when opening the CrackBerry app?
Within a second or two of opening the app, it automatically closes itself.
I tried re-installing the app, only to encounter the same problem again - it's basically unusable at the moment.

Does exact same thing as you describe with some other apps I have. (small time wasting game app)

Tried uninstalling and re-installing the app and no success.

There is no proof , this is just another fake news event designed to question the integrity of the update .

If this update had a real issue the poster would have detailed the reason.

Mine had issues with syncing emails, messages (text), and calendars. It won't sync for couple of hours, and then all of a sudden, I get loads of them rushing in. Time crucial items lost the merit.

New update gets the sync with no hiccup, and stable.

I have read several posts where the handset kept restarting uncontrollably. Given that, and my experience with the two past updates prior to Oreo requiring factory re-image, I will wait to download/install this latest update. ABD796 is perfectly stable. I'll keep what I know works.

I am very sorry but making sweeping statements which have no factual basis other than what you have read is nothing short of irresponsible. Sure by all means alert people to what you have read and your personal experiences but to state categorically that one should NOT Trust an update with out foundation is incorrect by any standard.

You have the right to stick with whatever update you feel comfortable with and long may it suit you and your device

Where did he/she state in the post you quoted that categorically that one should Not trust an update? Nowhere.
Never mind...i just read the post where he/she did.

I knew that as I figured the guy was trolling.

Just wanted to see if he was gonna back up his bs.

I used the no wipe options last night and as usual everything has been flawless and working thanks again.

Erm, probably worth mentioning that updating this onto UK models ( -003) will kill your googlepay (if you have it installed).
Imagine how the cashier laughed as my KeyOne repeatedly came up with the "You cannot use Googlepay" error message when I was trying to pay for my lunch today...
Not in a position to downgrade the OS over the weekend so hopefully, this build (or higher) will appear for BBB100-2's soon!

Your device is specifically made for AT&T. You need to use an AT&T SIM to get your update.
