    48-Hour Keyone Battery Test Results

I repeated my 48-hour Keyone battery test from earlier this week, but kept better track of the stats this time. Here are some data and images from the experiment.

    Charge Start: 100%
    Charge End: 4%
Total Duration: 48h, 11 AM FRI - 11 AM SUN
    Screen Time on: 9h, 8m, 24s
    Computer power use: 1109 mAH
    Battery saver: not used
Screen brightness: lowest setting, auto-adjust on
Major battery usage: Screen (24%), Phone idle (20%), Android System (10%)
Usage descriptions: email, messaging, web browsing, music (bluetooth link to car), a few app/content uploads/downloads/updates, a few standard audio calls, some cell network data, mostly wifi data use

This result seems very similar to my experience. If I don't plug in over night, no worries.

I keep my screen at full brightness all of the time and still getting 2 days out of it, lol. Love not being a wall-hugger.

I just had an insane battery run of 3 days and counting (definitely could have made 3.5, perhaps 4)! It's important to note this one was primarily on wifi and with modest screen time. Contrast that with last week, where I was traveling a lot on cellular networks exclusively and could only get to 1.5+ days.

Here's a test where I had rather high usage over a shorter period of time. It looks like I could get up to around 10 hours of screen time if I let it go all the way. This was also with almost 2 hours of call time and over 2 days of overall idle.

Based on my latest results, I'm wondering why we get such different screen results. I do keep mine on adaptive brightness and the lowest possible brightness setting.

    - And there's your answer Personally I can't stand the adaptive brightness setting, never could on any phone, so I will never get those battery life results. However, I'm happy with a full day's use with 8 hours of SOT.

I came back to share one of a few additional incredible battery runs I've been having lately. Here, we have over 10 hours of screen time with 15% battery remaining and over 48 hours since charge! It's almost like this phone is getting a better battery over time.
