Got a questions: my wife's K1 has the habit of still showing apps in the app tray after

- clearing all
- 32+ second reboot.

The apps however are not the ones I just closed before the reboot but some other stuff from a while back!? Like dict.leo.org etc.

How can that be? I thought it clears everything doing this procedure. I've done the 32 sec with a stop watch to be sure.

Any ideas on this?

some apps open automatically after startup. there is a setting to change this behaviour but i can't seem to find it... so Google is your best friend

The Power Center app might have controls for auto-start apps. In the past I used a 3rd party app that could control that behavior.

About once every two weeks for some reason video and audio players seem to be running on my system and I don't know why. When I open Task manager (3rd party), I see the same 3 apps. I rarely use any such player so obviously they have a mind of their own.
