The BBB100-1, which is the North American GSM version has all the band's that AT&T uses. As long as it has 2,4,5, and 12/17, you're good to go.

According to both carriers one band each is missing.

The phone will work in the US, the issues will arise when you are in an AT&T only area. The phone is missing the bands exclusive to them, the same issues for Verizon.

I did check, and the BBB100-1 has every band that AT&T uses. And many more.

2,4,5 and 17 are all you require for AT&T. It's what my Z10 has and it's an AT&T branded phone.

Band 12 is interoperable with band 17, so even if your phone doesn't specifically have band 12, it will pick up band 12 through band 17. And the BBB100-1 has both 12 and 17.

You still didn't say which band you think is missing.

A posted email from another user is NOT officially released information. It's meant to be one on one communications between sender and receiver. How anyone can argue that is beyond me. We pretty much asked for the same email when we pre registered.

Do such agreements exist? Or is this something you think can happen? This could open up the market for many phones. Of course, if something goes wrong, would customers understand that it's the manufacturer they have to deal with and not the carrier?
