I found this application in gstore - "Light Flow Pro - LED Control", it says

Maybe this would fix it..

It treats the Hub as a single app, so won't rotate colors for accounts in the Hub. I think it may be an Android limitation that a single app can't dynamically select it's own notification colors, but I'm not a developer and really have no idea.

Simply untrue. The Verizon K1 was not even in Amazon's or Best Buy's warehouses on May 31, 2017. Their customer service departments confirmed this. Verizon is not at fault for TCL simply not manufacturing and shipping them on time.

BBOS was crazy with the granular control it gave over personalizing and customizing notifications. I miss that feature also. I use sounds now to notify my family contacts for health emergencies. But it means I always have to have the sound turned on, which is awkward sometimes in staff meetings.

Right, which is different from the bill of goods we were sold when the licensing deal was announced. BlackBerry said they were doing the software to dissuade concerns about security with a Chinese licensee. Now half the stock apps on my phone are TCL.

Regardless of the developer, BlackBerry is signing those apps and is accountable for their security. I think the process is as transparent as it is for any other OEM.

Bingo. The LED notification in Android has not had major changes in forever. Few Android phones leverage this, thankfully Samsung does which keeps it somewhat relevant. If you want the blissful way bb10 handles the colors, you would need a separate app for each mail account (which I do on my note 8). Even if you do that, the notification will time out unless the developer set options for you to keep it persistent, so you'll miss that important blue light (green for me).

I gotta agree, silent operation and only LED colors is how I roll nights and weekends, and allows me to only touch it when I see my green light.

I've called Tmobile and AT&T and neither of them heard of the Key2 or Key2LE.

Amazon or best buy might be the best bet, or if you're close enough buy outright from Canadian provider. The exchange rate might make it work out cheaper too.

For the record, this was another release date promise broken. They said in August it would be available "beginning next month". It's October 1st and as far as I know nobody was able to buy a retail unit.

(Now I'll patiently wait for someone to tell me "they meant available for purchase beginning next month, they never said shipping next month, and it popped up randomly on Amazon on September 29th so another promise kept by our leaders at BlackBerry™ Mobile™!" )

I think you need to appreciate the difference between a "promise" and an "expectation". There is no quid pro quo, or sacred commitment being made.

As a B2B consultant, pretty much all of my work is a combination of meetings and email. Recently, on a Sunday when I only carried my KEYone, I received an unexpected email from a prospect who was in the US for a few days suggesting times for a meeting I'd been trying to schedule for months. But, because the KEYone doesn't rotate LED colors for unread messages in the HUB, I missed the blue LED that distinguishes that email account, and only saw the yellow one for my personal email.

As a result, by the time I noticed the message an hour and a half later, the meeting time I had been offered was no longer available, and now I have to wait a few months until that prospect returns to the US. As a result, by the regression analysis we use, the likelihood of closing that $500K contract went from about 75% to less than 50% for a net loss of $125K in revenue and $45K in profit.

That's the real world business cost of trying to use the KEYone as my primary phone on a lazy Sunday. Since I wasn't expecting the email, the only alternative would be to turn on the screen and scan my email every 10 minutes during all my waking hours!

But I am curious to know how will having a laptop/tablet or whatever it is that you intend to switch take care of the problem?
The use case scenario that you just described, how would a laptop/tablet/handled not let that happen?

It wouldn't at all. It would be an admission that I can no longer work the way I have for the past 15 years on mobile. My current workflow doesn't translate to Android or iOS so, rather than approximate what I do currently, I will re-engineer it so that my email on mobile reliance is reduced to what Android and iOS can support.

What I imagine is that I will hire a service to triage email communications for me, similar to what a call service does for physicians. Then I'll always have the laptop with me to respond to the most urgent items and respond to the others in batches. It will be more expensive and less personal, but it will be reliable and sustainable.

I'll probably always keep a mobile phone nearby (likely my KEYone, which I really like) , but I just can't expect Android to perform like a BBOS or BB10 device for written communications. Android's soul is fundamentally different.

In 2016 alone, the show won 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, making it the Emmy’s second most successful TV series of all time. Plus, it is the 4th most expensive TV series ever produced. Over 30 million people watch it, with countless others around the world downloading it.

The series earns over a billion dollars a year for its owners, and incredible amounts for ancillary businesses.

A small smartphone OEM is utterly inconsequential compared.

Nobody, and I really mean NOBODY, is making plans and budgeting decisions about specific smartphone devices in 2018. Other than ensuring compatibility with an enterprise's MDM and security model, 99% of companies couldn't care less which specific phones their employees use.
