    Hey there,
I got this unlocked bootloader message as soon as I turned on the Key2LE BBE100-5 after finally receiving it today from a vendor called CastlePixel selling on Amazon. I've read the about this issue with this vendor with the Key2 (https://forums.crackberry.com/genera...0-2-a-1184224/) but I've got the LE, so with a PRD-65005-700, is this also a pre-production model? The Build is ACB168. Kernel info does say pre-release.... So did I get a legit model or do I need to contact Amazon to get my money back and blacklist this vendor?
Any info for a newbie to all this BB technical stuff would be greatly appreciated (though I've been a dedicated BB user for years).
    Thanks!

It is, yes. Anything ending with -7xx or -8xx is not for sale.

But try loading this OS anyway:

If it works, then don't worry about it. If it doesn't load, send it back.

Will try thanks. Please confirm that if the unlocked bootloader message does not appear then I'm good to go and the device is secure. Thanks!

That message will likely never change. Locking and unlocking the bootloader is not user-accessible on BlackBerry Android devices.

Huh. So how do I know the device is secure and what's the point in loading the above?

You'll at least be running the latest OS with the latest security patch, and BlackBerry Integrity Detection should still notify you if any system files have been compromised.

Even with an unlocked bootloader, you can't install anything not signed by BlackBerry, so the risk is quite low.

Hmm ok so will future security patches be installed via the OS update feature?

There aren't likely to be any more. If one more happens to pop up, then you will have to load it the same way - via autoloader.

So I just got another used LE which says it's 100-5 but the PRD is 65005-001. What does the 001 mean? Thanks.

Ok thanks for the speedy reply. Unfortunately, I don't understand all the other stuff on the spreadsheet... I didn't get the 'unlocked bootloader' on startup but is this PRD a legitimate secure phone? Thanks.

Any PRD on the chart is legit. The ones ending in -7xx and -8xx are the problems.
