Staples Canada currently has the Key2 LE, slate, 64GB, dual SIM on sale for $399 ($297US) until May 24:

    Nice!
Only issue is that it's 'pick up in store' only, no delivery but I could live with that.

Just checked and the offer has been extended until June 6th. I'd be all over this if I needed a new device, it's a great price.

Incidentally, Staples' search function sucks and you'll have to put some effort into finding one. For instance, when I click on one of the four most local stores to check their inventory it tells me the actual store doesn't exist and I have in the past had to contact them via email/phone to send me locations where they hold a certain item in stock.

Just heard that Walmart Canada will price match

    *EDIT*

Just got another email from Walmart stating they won't price match as the difference in the price between them and Staples is too large ($200)

Looks like they are getting cleared out. It's no longer listed on Staples website.

Yeah that's what I figured when they first posted the Staples price, but only in store.... they were clearing out inventory.

It's why I don't see a 18- 24 month product cycle being viable for such a niche product. I doubt BBMo is finding these "other" markets even close to replacing the US, Canada and GB...

They don't need the other markets to replace sales, only to extend sales.

I don't think for a second they expect a straight line in sales volumes.

The 12 month cycle is the one that's questionable if it's profitable.
    18-24 is different
