I'm using my phone, everything is fine, incoming calls and texts ring as expected, then suddenly I get a call and the phone is on vibrate-only mode, no sounds, and no audible notifications for texts etc. I didn't tough anything, didn't put it on Do Not Disturb. The only fix for this is to reboot the phone.

What's happening and how can I avoid this?

I'm pretty sure it's normal for this to happen while you're on a call.
However as soon as you hang up, it should go back to whatever setting it was at.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. This happens after the call is over and if I get a call later I won't hear it ring.

Try clearing the cache in the Phone app and in Google Play Services app and also in BB Hub- services app

Do you use calendar app? Add events and etc? Maybe you enabled meeting mode?

Probably just hitting the volume rocker. I wish I could keep mine on vibrate only!

The app I'm using is called "NGC 4388", and it sets the volume keys to only affect media volume, like you could do on BB10. Another option would be "Rocker Locker", but NGC 4388 isn't as big of a resource hog.

Thanks! Used Rocker Locker on my K1 but i am trying to keep the K2le install as clean as possible as it is running flawlessly at this point.

I know this sounds stupid, but I have the opposite problem. I have the Key2 and I can't get it to turn to vibrate only. I've tried searching the settings, but to no avail!

Did you ever solve this problem?

I had it happen to me a couple of times and *think* I have solved it .... With me all audio notifications stopped as well and I would only notice when I saw a few missed calls

I had placed it on Do not disturb for meetings and at the dentist and because I am unfamiliar with the phone, when I pulled down the menu from the top and hit do not disturb there is a "done" button which I missed and didn't untoggle like I thought .. Rebooting solved it but I think I just needed to untoggle it correctly If that all makes sense?

My Key 2 le has stopped notifications too. Tried the volume, reboot . . . it might work again once or twice the falls silent again, both vibrate & sound.
I presume this will need to be an Android fix?
Wish I never got rid of my Passport.

Yes and no... I discovered that the volume key was accidentally being pressed until the ring volume went to "silent" so I installed Rocker Locker and that solved that part of the problem. But sometimes incoming messages don't give an audible notification and I find the "do not disturb" function to be confusing. All things considered I'm in good shape. But I'm also a buyer for the Key3 whenever that comes out
