Just got caught up on gestures in Android Pie. This looks like it would work great with the Key2LE. But what about the navigation buttons? Can they be turned off?

After browsing around CB it sounds like the nav buttons cannot be turned off... True?

If that is the case, I guess I will wait for the next iteration of the LE as it seems so obvious that a non-capacitive keyboard paired with Android Pie gestures would have the best UX (and be the most BB like).

I would believe that when it does receive Pie, you'll be able to disable the three capacitive buttons and have the little horizontal bar at the bottom center of the screen, but the black bar where those buttons are will obviously still be there.

If so, not optimal, but acceptable. Can this be done in Oreo now?

There are no gestures on Oreo yet. All of this will come with Pie.
