I must be pretty dense. Over the weekend I swapped sim cards between my Key2 LE and my old iPhone 6S+ then changed my mind and swapped them back. Really dumb. No texts received again. Installed new sim at Verizon tonight. no dice. Set the sim card for LTE only. Nothing. When the old iPhone is turned on and it connects to WiFi all of the missed messages start flooding in. Any ideas on how to unscrew this? Thx

    1) Verizon had a big outage... so I'd test again.

    2) What did the people at Verizon say.... generally they'll try and help get the issue resolved.

Maybe ask Verizon to provision the sim for CDMA-less only?

It's tied your number to your apple ID hence.. imessage that's why. You'd have to disassociate it on your apple account or something.

Just for anyone else who might come across this...

You may need to turn off iMessage if you are now using a non-Apple phone and can't get SMS or text messages someone sends you from an iPhone.

Yes, got it done with online chat while also turning off the iMessage in the old iPhone.
