It's like comparing the BMW 3 and the BMW 5. It's still a BMW.

So why are you wasting time and not post reviews :-p
I do think it looks better than the key2 but I can imagine the feel wouldn't be as premium!

There's not much to say after one day of use (I picked the Prosecco variant), but I try to do my best. I also have a KEY2, so I gladly compare the two.

    In a nutshell:
    • Build quality is the same, the plastic frame and other materials (especially the back cover) are very good indeed,
    • Screen size and resolution is the same, but the colors are somehow looking more washed out on the LE (I'm quite sure the panels are different),
    • Keyboard is somehow more convenient on the KEY2, not just because the keys are bigger. Absolutely no problems with the spacebar. Oh, and man, I really miss those capacitive keys!
    • Performance is equal on these two, at least with my user scenario. SD 636 looks quite cabable even with 4 GB of RAM,
    • Havent tested the camera quality, but - for now - there's no 2x zoom and Google Lens support with the LE,
    • Battery runtime seems to be the same,
    • Call/audio quality and reception seems to be the same (request further testing)

Based on my experiences so far this device is a real bang for the buck. It's definitely not a Curve-ish BlackBerry, it's more like the Bold 9790 vs 9900.

You rock my friend! Thank you! I really want to like this device and convince myself that I must get it! But:

    Cons:
    - Price (my opinion)
    - Washed out display
    - Camera possibly not good
    - Missing capacitive keyboard

    Pros:
    - build quality
    - performance
    - Battery (hopefully)

and not sure why we should be happy that the keys work fine, that should be expected!

I'll wait a bit more for video reviews and see what happens - as I said I want to like it!

    Thanks again!!!

Where'd you find LE's this early?? I wanted to order from Clove UK but the stock was delayed till end of month and that's only for the Slate 32gb.

And how's the battery the same as KEY2 when the KEY2 has a 500mAh head start? Is the 636 THAT more efficient than the 660 ?

The 636 is a down-clocked 660. They are otherwise identical.

I would imagine about 15% less battery life.

    Nice photos!

How's the keyboard on the LE? Same as KEYone but with matte finish? And the spacebar ?

Yes, pretty much the same feedback on these two. The spacebar is also the same (note that there are no LEDs on the spacebar of the KEY2 LE). The matte finish indeed makes quite a difference in both look and feel.

Are the rest of the keys lit up for night typing? On my Passport the spacebar is not lit but the rest of the keys are.

Just got mine in Slate here too. Keyboard feels a bit more plastic but the bigger keys really make a difference with my clumsy fingers.

The Slate color really shines nicely blue/greyish in daylight! really like it!

The prosecco has the same blue keyboard and back as the slate, they only have a different frame. It looks very elegant.

Does the KEY2 LE keyboard have back-lit keys so you can see them in the dark?
