The only thread I can find around this subject is for the Priv and from 2016. Basically Google's Messages app still doesn't offer "enter to send" support and it is super annoying.

I use Textra as a workaround but then lose the ability to use my PC to respond to messages. A compromise I still find to be worth it, but I'm still not in love with the solution.

Has anyone found a better solution?

I use Textra as well since it allows enter to send.

A thought about using your PC to reply to texts - have you looked into the Windows 10 app "My Phone?" I haven't played with it myself yet, but it appears to offer the ability to respond to texts from your PC.

Try Pulse. It's better than Textra IMO. It gives you the option to have a dedicated Send key on your keyboard & you can text from any device.
Mecca EL and Sarek1701 like this.

Thanks, Pulse works great and integrates well with the Hub. I haven't tried it on the PC yet but so far so good.

Does Google Messages support keyboards? Probably not so no surprise.

Yup, I know someone using BB Keyboard with Google Messages on a Samsung - If that's what you meant anyway

If I am not mistaken Gboard has an option to send Android Messages using the Enter key.

Probably some exclusive code between the two apps.
