Excuse me Please:

I am noticing an irritating ... feature, about the either Key2le or the current version of Android.
I turn *ALL* Cellular Data to off (forcing any network comms to go through 802.11 wireless) YET!
I am finding "something" is turning this back on!!!!
Across the top bar I am noticing that the 4GLTE icon becomes illuminated (that cel data is in use)

Cellular Data Usage
shows:
Google Play services(et el)
Google

as the highest network usage.
YET. Each has their Background Data set to disabled.

I have since set my "limit" to 1.5MB to maintain my desire that NO cellular data is used.

What I want to know is:
1. how are applications installed on this device able to over-ride my defined settings.
2. how do I determine exactly which application actually did enable said Cellular Data?
(beyond what is displayed in the "Data Usage" list)

Odd behavior. A shot in the dark:
Under Network & Internet --> Cellular networks --> Network settings --> Data services while roaming (this should be set to off).

Also, under Network & Internet --> Data usage:
Cellular data should be set to off.
Data saver should be on.

I like your workaround too though!

I find DOMESTIC DATA switched BACK ON AGAIN!!
and yes, DATA Saver is also currently (& still) on.

I'm having the exact opposite problem. My data suddenly turned off yesterday and the 4gLte icon isn't illuminated. How do I turn my data back on?

so is there no way to determine how this KEY2 and/or Android are autonomously restoring 4GLTE Data? Would there happen to be a log area that I have not found yet that details the device's activities? or is that WAY too much accountability to expect from the fledgling industry?
