Why I cannot disable Google Play Services? I have most of the time disable because I do not see a point why should I have it running - it is just eating battery. Only one app requires it and it is one restaurant coupons app which I use one time in 1-2 months so I always enable GPS, started app, showed stuff at restaurant coupon and disabled GPS.

Now, after ABX563 update, I cannot disable it! Why???
It may not be this update but it seems to be it..


Any advice how to disable it? Thanks

EDIT: I already tried restart.

Before you disable it, you need to remove it's administrator privilege.

Settings - > Security - > Device Administrators. Uncheck "Find my Device"

Now you will be able to disable Google Play Services.

EDIT: Sorry, re-read your post. Sounds like you had it disabled before the update? Hopefully the new update doesn't have a new limitation on disabling Google Play Services. I'm running ABX648 on the Key2 and have no issues.

If you've confirmed it isn't a device admin, then the other option is to try the XDA method of disabling system applications via ADB:

It was not device admin but the method via ADB disabled it and now it is possible to enable and disable from the phone again. THANK YOU!
