The KEY2LE 100-5 dual SIM variant is still on September software? I thought it was supposed to receive timely security updates? Almost three months with nothing is hardly timely.

My BBE100-1 is also on September update, not really a big deal to me as everything works perfect.
Me personally, I know I enjoy this device much more than I'd enjoy a slab that gets the updates on the first of every month.
Will let you know when I receive the next one.
Arguably, 90 days is 'timely'. Even the Android Enterprise Recommended requirements call for 90 day updates instead of monthly and the KEY2 LE is Android Enterprise Recommended. All the BlackBerry Mobile devices are. - https://www.android.com/intl/en_ca/e.../requirements/ So.. you're due!
Well, here was Blackberry's "commitment" regarding updates on KEYone. Suffice to say that didn't hold up and doesn't seem to be on KEY2/KEY2LE.
What applied to the KEYone in year one of BBMo existences, doesn't necessary apply to the KEY2 or year two of BBMo existences. Where once they had on phone with a few variants, they now four phones with dozens of variants to deal with. And while they like to say things are going better than expected, the reality is Carriers and Enterprise aren't buying into the "program" and they are most likely finding they have more work to do, with less sales and budget to support them.
If they have to go to 90 day updates to make it a viable business... so be it.
There were more variants of KEYone than there are of KEY2 or KEY2LE.
'..your device remains secure for at least 24 months’.
24 months ain't that long.. Not a lot of people order the phone on day one.. IF security is such an strong selling point of this smartphone, why not guaranty security updates for at least 5 years???
I know most companies do security updates for 2 years for their top model Android phones and that’s why Android sucks. BlackBerry should guaranty security updates for a longer period of time..
I don’t find it normal to spend $ 700,- on a smartphone every 2 years when the hardware is still perfectly fine..
All BBMo devices - without Verizon messing with them - get 3 years of security patches.
Replace the word Verizon in your statement with TCL and it is now corrected.
Why do you keep buying if they bother you sooooo much? :-)
One day I hope they pull their heads out of their asses and decide to return the once glorious company to it's former position.
What "glorious position" was BBMo ever in?
That company doesn't exist anymore. They don't make Edsel's or Studebaker's any more either.
But the licensed "blackberry" brand phones have been nice and do suit my needs quite well. BTW Apple just got bumped to 3rd place behind Samsung and Huawei.
