Here is the July patch for the KEY² LE.

Do not use if you have an Indian device. Likewise (new twist), do not use if you have one of the 2 new Verizon-branded devices or a device with a PRD that ends with -5xx (although I don't think any are in the wild yet).

Remove device password, boot to fastboot, plug in device, and run.

    Thanks Conite!

Will you please explain what you mean by "boot to fastboot" ?

Do I tap on the link using the KEY2 LE or on my computer and then move it over?

    Thanks again.

You download to PC, unzip it, plug in your device (which is in fastboot mode), and run the batch file of your choice.

To get into fastboot, turn off the phone. Then turn it back on by holding the power button and the down volume button. You will see a text menu. Stay there.

Don't forget to remove your device password first.

Do I understand that one of the choices is a no wipe? I am a little nervous about wiping my phone clean. I will give it a go in the morning.

Thanks for all the assistance you have given us!!

Correct. But always be prepared if something goes wrong - bad download, bad cable, bad usb port, power failure, etc.

Is removing the password the same as removing the screen lock?

Will I have to redo my fingerprint password?

Has BlackBerry Mobile stopped updating the LE already? I went for several months with no security updates and then got them from February through to May.

Thanks again, and sorry for all the questions!

Yes, screen lock. You will have to redo your PIN and fingerprint after loading.

KEY² LE is still getting regular updates.

Okay, I have downloaded the file. I am in Canada, so I want to choose the file NON-HLOS-americas.bin, correct?

Sorry, @conite, but can't get the phone into fastboot mode. I hold the power and down volume down for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, but phone boots into normal mode.

    Turn phone off.

Hold the power button down for a couple of seconds and then switch to the down volume button.

I do that and get the green BootLoader screen, select #3 Reboot into fastboot, hold power button for 10 seconds but the phone just turns off and on again. What am I missing?

Looks like the K2 received the same build though I am not sure if its safe to load it given its posted on the LE forum.

They are still device-specific. So, no.

Many thanks to Canadian_Passport for raising this question and to Conite for providing such detailed step-by-step answers. I had previously downloaded both ABX563.7z and ACA360Univ.7z for my LE but was clueless as to what to do beyond that. So they're now both unarchived and ready to go.

One remaining question : should each of these be loaded separately in sequence or does the second one (ACA360) include any changes from the first one? The installed build is ABV659. The phone model is BBE100-5.
