Which device is more secure:
A BlackBerry Key2 or an iPhone against "attacking"from inside (trackers, build in Google or Apple services, respect of the owners privacy) and outside (safety of data, hackers, governments ect )?
And why?

Outside intruders? Probably about the same. You’re unlikely to get hacked on either platform outside of government actors.

Inside privacy concerns? iPhone. Apple adds new permissions restrictions for apps and anti-tracking measures in both the APIs and Safari with each new release. Here’s some more information:

Apple I think is the more private OS by a good margin. You can lock down a google device but it does require quite a bit of work, so out of the box Apple offers betting privacy.

As for the second part and outside parties, both are fairly secure if you are a small user that sitcks with only apps from the official stores. Governments have their ways of getting what they need no matter what but either OS should be fairly safe from most of the normal attacks out there.

Out of the Box, Apple is better at both security and privacy. But properly used and configured, both Apple and Android are very secure.

If privacy matters to you on your phone, you should understand that your carrier is the biggest threat. Purchase your phone unlocked and set it up anonymously with an Alias on a prepaid service. Then immediately install the 1.1.1.1 app from Cloudflare to bypass your carrirr's DNS service and encryption all DNS traffic, then use a VPN to hide the rest from your carrier.

If you do those things, your carrier won't have your identity, or know which Web sites you visit or what apps you use.

And if you set up your phone with an alias, Google won't know your identity, but you'll need a Faraday bag to prevent your carrier and Google knowing where you spend the night.

iOS is a lot more locked down than Android is and Apple is pushing a lot of privacy features so out of the box, the iPhone would be a better choice.

You can manually lock down an Android device to be more private by disabling or limiting Google Play Services, using apps from F-Droid, etc but you'll get a more limited experience from Android as a result (some apps won't work without enabling Location Accuracy, Google Play Services having all permissions, etc).

On Android getting monthly updates is also a must if you care about security, the Key2 might only have another year of updates left.

Apple can be jailbreaked whereas BlackBerry cannot be rooted. So I believe blackberry is more secured.

That is only one of many threat models.

Frankly, the question can not be definitively answered as it depends on what vulnerabilities your particular workflow exposes you to.

Ultimately it's meaningless to compare features like this as devices are usually exploited in other ways.

But i think you agree, when I say that Apple has a better reputation in respecting users privacy than Google.
This must have a reason and has nothing to do with the users brain capacity.

We also need to consider the way we use devices. We have apps, that perform background processes and share our data without our knowing.

Although this is true of both ecosystems, I like DTEK and its ability to show you what's going on on your device without your knowledge.

Go to DTEK and set all the permissions to sensitive. then see all the notifications roll in...

It was breached through someone logging in to their iCloud accounts to get the pictures which were synced from their phones. No one logged into their phones.

It's like someone hacking your DropBox account from a computer. It has nothing to do with your device.

Do you honestly not see the difference? The device was not hacked. Their accounts were breached through other social engineering methods and/or password stupidity. Its the same as if you hotmail account was breached. You going to blame bb10 because of that? You sent your emails on the z10 after all.
