    Hi
Just got a quick question. Is watching a YouTube video or Netflix on the key2 really bad ? As the reviews on youtube say or they're just exaggerating?
I mean holding the phone horizontally does the keyboard messes everything up ?

    Thanks

Depends on how they feel about having to flip their device, I guess. It's not that big of a deal to me to the point I'd complain about it. It's one of those things you know before you buy the device. You either accept it or you don't. No point in buying it and then complaining about it. And why would horizontal mess anything up? It's just like using a full touch device only shorter.

Watching videos on Key2 is it as bad as it seems ?-screenshot_20181121-202149.jpg

Depends on what you are watching. If you are watching short YouTube clips for few minutes at a time with the phone in your hand, then the Key2 is perfectly fine.

If you plan to stand it up on a table and watch an hour long show, then it's going to be a lesser experience due to the smaller screen.

I don't mind it to be honest. I have even watched episodes on Netflix without any problem. The physical keyboard searches automatically in there.

I watch YouTube pretty much all day on KEY²

Nope. I've gotten use to it. No issues with size, ratio, etc. By the time you're 30 min into whatever you're watching you forget all about the nuances.

I think it just depends on what screen size you are coming from and what you are used to.

The screen is pretty much the same size as an iPhone 6. So it's pretty decent

Enable Immersive Mode and change the DPI to something lower through Developer Options. I did both and my screen feels much bigger now.

I have watched Netflix and Amazon Prime movies on my Key2 screen but even better have seamlessly cast to Chromcast, directly to TV's either using the "Cast" button on Netflix or Casting the screen. The key2 has no problems doing any of this.

Install SystemUI Tuner, follow the steps to grant the right permission and enable Immersive Mode via that app.

Absolutely not! Viewing is good enough for a phone screen!

Just to clarify: by DPI I meant Smallest width in developer options. I have it set to 520dp. So 520dp + Immersive Mode = screen that feels much bigger

I also added a new thread with the instructions to do all of this: https://forums.crackberry.com/blackb.../#post13313302

The phone is for “productivity” and, obviously, not well suited for videos.
You have a relatively tiny (think old iPhone size), 4.5” screen with a very odd, non standard aspect ratio.

Now we just need to get rid of capacitive buttons, give this thing a notch, and shrink the side bezels. No reason it can't be a 5' screen

It won't be, not without seriously compromising in-hand feel and balance, which is important on a PKB device.

They can get it to 4.7-4.8 in a PKB candybar of the current KEY2 footprint, not more unless it's a slider.

Exactly especially the capacitive buttons and the side bezels.
