I am hopeless in this department, but my USB cable has seen its days and I want to know which one is best for Key 2, I live in the UK. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Just buy a standard USB-C cable from a reputable brand - like Aukey or Anker.

What he doesn't need a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable with 40 Gbps transfer speeds and capable of 100W peak power transfers?

I needed a longer cable... checked out https://www.androidcentral.com/best-...ables-adapters

Very true - a lot of phones that have USB-C are really hooked up to a USB 2.0 bus on the SoC, so transfer speeds aren't going to be fast no matter what, and phones max out at 18W for charging. There's no reason to pay for an expensive ultra-high-speed data cable when you just need to charge.

I have bought several Amazon Basics brand of USB-C cables to keep around the house to plug in our various devices as needed. Got several micro-usb and even a few extra Lightning connectors for my wife's iPhone. All work fine.
