Tried the K2 last night. I will give a nice detailed review later, but in short, I am shocked that the detailed review, and survey for the K1 I provided was basically ignored. Disappointing.

They changed very little. They corrected some ridiculous issues the K1 had, such as reception, but missed the opportunities to take the K2 to the next level. Some will argue the K2, for 2018 technology took a step back.

If the KEY2 improves on many things the KEYone lacked, how is it a step back?

it's not. Calling bs. Let the record show 17:21 CEST, BS was called. The keyboard, speed and back camera (in sun) are a worthy improvement. Reception and call quality also, yes. And the looks. My silver one looks pretty af.

Keyboard improvements, speaker, speed key, RAM....?

What are 10 things you had in mind that they didn't address?

For anyone who has used the speaker is it significantly improved over KEYone? Speed and speaker were my only gripes about KEYone.

Multiple posts in multiple threads have stated that the speaker has improved.

Improved. Is really subjective. I keep reading that word but it doesn't tell me much about the degree of improvement.

That's why I used the qualifier significantly. I want to know if it's great or just marginally better but still questionable.

    Can anyone comment?
    Thank you everyone!

From my observation of reviews, I would say that the camera is the only thing that didn't get a significant improvement. That could be a deal breaker for some.

I think this is more of an iterative upgrade. The KeyOne worked well and TCL didn't go out of their way to design a completely new phone. If they do a Key3 next year that's going to be a major upgrade for KeyOne users. Maybe OLED panel, software navigation keys, and better camer.

I may be out of line with my statements, as I only touched the K2 for a few moments. My comments were from the owner of the K2, third party, not mine. I will have my K2 to try tonight, and we will see first hand.

Since you "only touched the K2 for a few moments," you can say whatever you want--good, bad or indifferent--and it will probably be out of line.

From my discussion with a member of the sales team, it’s the same speaker as the google pixel, just single speaker but certainly a step up. I would like to see dual speakers in the KEY3...and a few other things..but this device is certainly stepped up from the KEYone
