that's what shows up on mine instead of calendar notifications and texts so far. only things that have dedicated notification icons for me are HUB and individual applications.

If you pull down your notification bar when the phone is unlocked, is there anything there?
On mine, you can pull down directly from the (...) three dots icon and notifications come up.

Could it be a notification of an unread article(s) in the CrackBerry app? It is a CrackBerry icon isn't it? I don't know if the Android CB app issues notifications like that as i'm on BB10 but just wondering.

I have all notifications showing on my lock screen. What settings do you have in Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> Notifications -> On The Lockscreen?

my first guess would be "hidden notifications" but then if they show up once you swipe down on it, then i guess it's an indicator of how many notifications you have

I prefer the old, one icon for each notification along the top. A number of how many notifications you have next to 3 dots is a terrible design. if it is a choice and not a bug.

    Figured it out!

Settings --> Apps and Notifications --> Notifications --> Categorized Notifications

Then just activate the ones you want to have logos on your lock screen for

If any of the categorized notifications toggle is turned on, the three dots will appear to indicate notifications for none categorized apps.

The only way to get rid of the three dots completely is by disabling categorized notifications entirely.

Is the application that still has three dots not listed under the categories?

I think its the "system notice" telling me to finish the set up.

I have to start using the phone full time to really figure out if everything i want showing on the lock screen is there properly set up.

In order to have the little icons for each app you need to toggle On all the applications you have showing in the list of categorized notifications.

There is no way to show the icon only though; if the option is turned on you will also see the notification itself below the icons.

When I have a missed call, it gets put into the 3 dots.
When I pull down the notifications to get details, I am finding that the ones lumped in are CALL notifications in 2 categories >>> CALL SERVICES and PHONE MANAGEMENT

When i look through the list in categories, I'm not finding those 2.

How do I can call stuff show on its own in the lock screen? What is it categorized under?
