OK, I've had the Key2 for several weeks now. Does the phone have a brightness issue??? It seems so dull even on the highest brightness setting. Ive compared the brightness to my BlackBerry Motion and Moto Z2 Play. Their screens are noticeably clearer and brighter. I bought my Key2 off Ebay so their is no returning it for another one.

Hard to say w/o seeing what you're seeing but IMO my KEY2 is brighter than my Motion when both are at max so maybe yours isn't up to par.

I keep my auto brightness at about the halfway mark and it's still bright enough. If I turn off auto brightness the screen blinds me it's so bright.

I have mine on automatic brightness and if I'm in bright sunlight it doesn't seem to be bright enough, but I may not have it set up correctly.

I have mine set to 30% with adaptive brightness enabled. When I turn it off it gets really bright. I've found the brightness to be adequate on the Key2 but the color saturation is washed out compared to the 1st generation.

Key2 display is not as bright as KEYone in my experience, however much I tweak the settings.

No. I checked that first because I thought that was my issue. It's just not that bright. I still love the phone though. It's my 3rd favorite BlackBerry phone behind the Passport and the BlackBerry Torch

Do you guys use "Adaptive Brightness"? I find with it on, I can barely see my screen in bright sunlight!

It's ok in direct sunlight? Hmmm, I can't even see to take a picture if the sun is behind me. Interesting. I'll have to play around with it.

Fine enough for me in the Arizona sun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Could it better? Sure. But it works for me.

I also use the screen at 50 %, however under direct sunlight I use it between 80 to 100 % in order to see clearly the content .

So I guess you toggle "Adaptive Lighting" off? In sunlight I mean.

A discussion about comparing display brightness in the complete absence of quantitative specifications...

Um, it looks bright to me. Lol.

Hahaha, it's all subjective, I know. But will try a few suggestions as I just can't see the screen in bright sunlight.

I have issues with screen brightness. in direct sunlight it is almost useless, but then many phones are. I have tasker set up to ramp up the brightness and disable auto with some apps (such as camera and photos).

Conversely I find it too bright at night and have to use Screen Filter when reading before bed.

So yeah, they can't win really lol
