You say that as if they were lined up at the door.

In any event, TCL did a great job. There's just no market left.
The market is there, they just don’t want to compete.

Changing the parameters of my statement is bad form! I clearly stated "Flagship" devices! So, by all means, carry on or you can make a case for Android Flagship vs iPhone Flagship! Have I clearly stated I am discussing Flagship?

Did BlackBerry Mobile ever make a Flagship device?

Actually, I thought you changed the parameters of MY post. I only said excellent (not flagship), but your response changed to flagship. However, with 20/20 hindsight, I see you were revising the question. Fine then.

The issue is, that most people get a new device every 2-3 years. Even if I got an iPhone today (shudder), I sure as heck won't be using it 3-6 years from now.

So, for 90% of the world, this is a moot question.

When the first screens starting falling out it was just the continuation of the the ending of a damaged brand. Can't cry over spilled milk at this point.

Disagree, the iphone gives you the safe stretch option for 5 years should you choose. As a bonus, you can resell that same iphone 2-3years later for a handsome price! What is the resale value of any Android flagship or not? Do they compare? I sold my iPhone 6 in 2017 and paid for the lions share of the K1! It's just a nonsensical argument!

Disagree with what? That most people carry phones for less than 3 years? That's a published fact.

Explain why Android has 87% of the market (and is increasing every year) if buying one is so nonsensical?

I, for one, would still buy an Android device even if someone GAVE me a brand new iPhone.

I think that us privileged North Americans kinda lose sight that our market is tiny compared to the worldwide market on top of what is all being discussed here.

True, but economic common sense is global for some of us. Passions of OS fanaticism aside! Lol

That being said, I would probably line up for a K3! As enthusiasts we are weak that way! Lol

Which app? The "Preview" app should be there. But it no longer installs the "app" app anymore.

DTEK and kernel hardening do exactly what they're supposed to do. This situation has nothing to do with either, as the Preview app is a TCL app.

The Preview app is granted the permission to draw over other apps, so that's what it will do. Turn off the permission if you don't want that to happen.

You can also prevent the app from ever opening in the first place using Power Centre.
Thank You! For your explanations and solution.

the bloody Apps app installed itself on my Key2 (PRD63824001) today...
... I have followed your advice and done force stop, app permissions, and Power Centre... and re-booted.

Hopefully I'm now all ok again!

We've got a KeyOne here. I just removed "Apps" and then read here about disabling "Preview". Well, this KeyOne doesn't have "Preview". And I can't see how I'm supposed to use Locker.
So can someone advise me of steps to take with a KeyOne?
I'm thankful that this phone belongs to my wife and that I have a much safer standard Android (Moto G5s+).
