They have a variant in the OS reserved for them, but whether it will happen is uncertain. And unlike the other carriers, BYOD with a KEY2 won't work.

Thanks! I may need to wait for carrier availability first.

I have chat with a sprint representative, and asked about availability date, he said i should constantly check on their news page, when i pressed him for any hint, he told me to check back in 2 weeks, now, that doesn’t means we will have some news in 2 weeks, could be he just answered so, but at least he knew right away what I’m talking from, unlike a year ago when i was chatting multiple times about the keyone, no body has any idea what im talking about.

Why, i had multiple time when i brought my own device, if its compatible, it shouldn’t work?

If it's compatible, which it isn't; no CDMA, no LTE 25/26.

So what do you mean “they have a variant reserved in the os”?

There is a BBF100-3 for Sprint in the OS, but whether it will come out is unknown. None of the variants that are confirmed to come out (BBF100-1/2/4/6/8/9) have all of Sprint's required CDMA and LTE bands.

Sprint is having so many issues for us Keyone users for the past 6 months - the monthly updates cause the phone to not function on LTE. Sprint Community website has many of us waiting for a fix to this- see "Keyone Data Issues". Will they carry the Key2 and allow us Keyone users to switch to Key2 due to faulty monthly updates ... that would be an option to consider...

Nothing to base it on, but I suspect the percentage of devices affected was not that high. Mine was never affected by any of the monthly updates.

Do you have sprint as your carrier? I am considering a k2 for sprint and how's the update for k1?

Yes I do. I don't really understand the question though.

Oh I thought you have k1 sprint model. I wanted to know how sprint is handling the security updates.

I did until a week ago. The security updates were always a few weeks later than the unlocked devices, and there were months where there were no updates, bit they did get the last few updates. As for network performance, it worked as well as any of my other devices.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I don't think the unlocked KEYone has cdma support, and even if it does, it probably can't be activated on Sprint's voice network.

Could you tell me if your Keyone is on HW24 or 26? Are you on May AAY820 update and still have LTE service? Thanks for info as many of us on Sprint lost LTE from monthly updates!

I posted in one of the Sprint KEYone threads about it. I never lost LTE with any update, including the last one. I can't remember for sure, but I think it was the older hw rev. I already deleted the screenshots from Google photos, so I can't check anymore.

If you still have your Keyone, you can see your HW version in the settings "About Phone" . just curious as many of us Sprint users lost LTE service with recent updates this year. If you still have LTE service and are on the May update aay820 - it would be helpful to know your HW version as Sprint Tech Support is working on the issue. thanks
