This article (https://mobilesyrup.com/2018/05/23/qualcomm-ai-chipset-upper-mid-range-phones-snapdragon-710/) suggests the possibility of the newest Qualcomm chipset in the Key2. Is that even a possibility?

We have already seen benchmarks and spec leaks with the 660, so I would think it unlikely for the KEY²

I think that article is a bit off from reality. The Key2 may have been in development longer than the 710 has been available to be used. The original Qualcomm announcement in February didn't mean OEMs were getting it right then. I think they are only now getting the new SOC and device development with them may not start until June.

    Just a guess, of course.

Now, the Motion 2 (or whatever the possible next slab is called) would be a candidate for the 710.

If there are truly two devices being introduced - KEY² and KEY² Lite - then they could probably get away with more on the top end.

My guess is still $599 and $499 respectively. But we really don't know the details on the camera, among other things.

Since the KEYᵒⁿᵉ was $549 at launch, I could see as much as a $100 premium.

PKB, blackberry security, 3 years updates are worth $300 along. Phone will be minimum $599.

I agree with you. Hope 660 will not compromise on battery life.

710 will be for next years model. 660 was announced by QC around this time last year.

$649.00 US would be in my opinion the top of the market for a KEY2 as described in the video... If it launches at an $800.00 price I don't think it well sell very well if at all. There are far too many options out there for a comparable Android at the $800.00 price point or below currently. I just don't think a PKB will demand that number for a premium price tag. I wouldn't be a buyer at that number and I do need to update to a new device from my Priv.

And the first Chip post. Honestly the majority of people don't give a hoot about the chip. I hope K2 is optimized as well as the K1 .

I would have agreed a while back, but since owning both the Priv and the KEYOne, I do not anymore. The KEYOne was simply too slow and weak. If the KEY2 has up to date hardware and competitive specs I will give it a try! Still missing that pkb, but I need a phone that doesn't lag even more!
