Since when does the BlackBerry Keyboard drain the battery like this?

Anyone else experiencing this?

Interesting! I thought my device was getting pretty thirsty after Jan update....

thats odd, perhaps reinstalling the blackberry keyboard would help, but clear the cache first. check also related settings.

I am not suffering from any excessive battery use from the keyboard or any apps since receiving the January update. All appears to be normal.

Same as Bob. I'm not experiencing anything bad from the keyboard, battery wise.

I am not saying the consumption is too great but the keyboard app was never that high on the list...

It seems to be consuming more energy since it was repositioned to the system apps folder.

I haven’t noticed anything alarming but the battery isn’t too extraordinary lately. Perhaps you’re right there’s something in the latest update that may have contributed to it.
It could be anything.

I am not seeing anything unusual with regard to battery use. The Keyboard App is showing 1% usage. See screen shot...
