At this point they might as well skip Pie and give us 10. 10 is a better version of Pie anyway.
Sure, but that would mean another 9-12 months, since that's the typical time frame for BlackBerry to configure, test and release a new letter upgrade of Android.

Also, some of the best features for Android 10, such as Project Mainline, will not be available on upgraded phones.

Personally, I would not consider a PKB phone running Android 10, as the new gestures will support my preferred work flow without the hardware shortcuts. For me, the hardware shortcuts were the main value of the PKB, as I have a slight preference for the BlackBerry VKB.

LOL. That's more about my preference for BB10.

I am equally comfortable on the PKB and VKB, but am definitely faster on the VKB for typing (and faster on the PKB for editing).

Yes, I asked for a concrete answer if pie will arrive or not.
Yes, or no and not maybe.

TCL said in Germanny there will me a small change a new device will roll out ,but if it will roll out it could be that the KEY2 and Motion get an update to a highter android version and that is not even be sure. The change for a new device TCL said it will be 5-10% so an update to Pie for the key one should be 2,5% or lower.

The reason it was not sure a new device will come out is that they are talking with blackBerry about patent and fee's and thay also said if a new device will come out it will be cost near 1000 euro because of the patents etc. TCL was little ******** about BlackBerry and they also where not pleased BlackBerry didn"t send people to support the BlackBerrt brand like last year.

So in my opinion it looks done but I also had the idea that if BlackBerry made a better deal for TCL we will see new device but at the moment NON.

I TCL is smart they gone lgo for 160mm and inplant a keyboard . You get a longer screen and they should look into gesture and swipe. The shold go look to huawei mui 9.1 gesture and swipe and get also the 3 controle button on screen instead outside the screen size. You will a more full schreen that is 25 longer and better for movies or multimedia. the length of the device woulde almost og the Sony 10 plus

10% +/- for sample minuscule size factoring additional 3.14 % for PIE itself

And BlackBerry refuses to just give it away....

Nobody should really be surprised or shocked. Yes it's disappointing, but this was always just an experiment, the last BlackBerry experiment ended without updates as well.

Got some nice modern PKB phones out of it and a couple more years beyond BB10.
