    I'm in Canada bell network. Bought mine from Amazon. It was a brand new phone. Maybe it's from India not sure

    Somehow you managed to get a device variant specifically manufactured for India. This device is managed by Optiemus, and is way behind in updates.

    I'm thinking Optiemus has unloaded a bunch of these that didn't sell in market..... way too many people getting this India phones in US, Canada and Europe now. BBMo could have prevented this by 1 making updates part of the "package", or 2 made the product distinctly different in some minor way.

    It may as "gary market " as I got one and Optimus refused any support. They said my device is not in their database!
    BBMo also said that is not their products.
    I returned it to seller and get EU version now. No issue so far.

    Some variants of the DroidBerry's do get updates much slower than others though
