Would it be possible to make it work by installing the autoloader?
Sure, but why would you need to use an autoloader when the update is coming through OTA?

According to Telus support, they don't have WiFi calling support for the KEY2.

Because in the OTA Rogers update it won't let me use wi-fi calling with a Telus SIM..

    Only Rogers supports WiFi calling.

At least it is cheaper to switch to a Rogers SIM, than to buy a new phone in order to get WiFi calling, if you need it.

I have an old grandfather plan, and the LTE coverage in my area with Telus isn't great, both companies play the hot potato game, they blame each other, I'm stuck with this phone, I have learnt a valuable lesson. I should have chosen the silver unlocked version..

Still wouldn’t necessarily give you access to WFC on any network. Most carriers seem to be limiting WFC and some other enhanced services to carrier branded hardware only for that branded carrier. Factory unlocked could be theoretically blocked for enhanced calling features or services from all carriers.

Factory unlocked phones are definitely blocked or my NA Silver Edition would be working as I am on a Rogers sim card. Sad, but true.

wifi calling now works amazing! Also noticed it improved battery life. BUT the icons did go back to rounds!!!
Yes, I noticed the improved battery life immediately. Makes sense, the phone is not trying to get a cellular signal when in a Wi-Fi zone which, for me, is 90% of my day.

Not a fan of the round icons!

I'm glad it is out and WiFi calling is working for those with phones bought from Rogers.

The update was supposed to also be available for the KEY2 LE...can anyone confirm it is out and WiFi calling is also working?
I got an update for my KEY2 LE about a week ago and that seemed to bring in the WiFi calling feature. but the verification process to enable my phone number for WiFi calling through the Rogers website has not worked. Called technical support and they said Rogers doesn't support it for Blackberry phones yet... so it's an update for the future??

EDIT: just checked that Rogers forum post with the upgrade schedule. Says upcoming changes to Key2/Key2 LE is delayed to February 13, 2019.

Is your device Rogers branded? Someone else posted only carrier branded will be WFC enabled..

I bought it from Rogers, so yes(?). Hopefully it just automatically starts working in the next week...

It’s simple. If you don’t purchase the device from the carrier, they’re blocking enhanced calling features..
Agreed as this seems to be the case! MY original K1 had the screen issue and the device i was re-issued was NOT a Rogers branded device and VOLTE,.IMS wifi calling was ALL moot!!
