A bit off topic but the why are so many users so into WiFi calling? I'm in Canada and here any plans I look at have nation wide unlimited. Can you call over seas with it ? Just curious what advantage there is.

Canadian Navy here. This means I can use the ships WiFi or random WiFi in port to call home.

Sometimes cellular signal is not good, especially in basements in homes. With Wi-Fi calling, that's a non-issue. Just improves the overall phone call experience.

I'm running ABK892 through autoloader. I guess its unlikely that I'll see an OTA update for this one.

I’m located in Florida, very flat area, no basements. However, coverage in my residence is poor just due to being in a semi- dead zone between my two neighbors. In order to not drop calls, WFC allows me to use my otherwise largely worthless devices.

in Toronto and the cellular signal in my condo is 1 bar at most. With WiFi calling, calls can be received from clients (insurance claim calls) without poor quality or disconnect. That is why wifi Isa so important for me. Not a free call issue.

Nothing here yet either. In fact I haven't seen an OTA update in months.

I bet it rolls out on Monday. Probably some weekday tech manager that needs to press "go".

Also hoping wifi calling finally arrives.

Though I'm in the Bay Area, many of my audio/video customers live in the hills and valleys that separate the Oakland area with the Tri-Valley, and even though there are lots of cells and good coverage on the freeways, there are a lot of little valleys where cell signal is non-existant or barely exists outdoors (making it unusable indoors).

There are all kinds of reasons why people would need WiFi Calling - whether that's traveling, living along the border, being in a rural area, terrain, etc. There's a reason cellular coverage maps exist - and even they are often overly optimistic.

I'm using a KEYone still on July. What ever happened to years of immediate updates? What a sham. I get closed and closed to just switching over to a Pixel or something. This is so annoying.
