    I'm not sure what you mean. Your router handles lease times.

    Are you referring to mobile hotspot?

    On a Mac in system preferences, you can immediately detach and reattach yourself from the Wi-Fi. The button is called renew dhcp lease.

    I wanted to know if android had a similar feature. Normally I tap forget the Wi-Fi, then jump on it again.

    Forget Wi-Fi is the only thing I can think of.
