I use an app called "Volume Control" - it has a tasker shortcut so I have setup a keyboard shortcut to toggle between profiles:

Default (normal volume, media volume, etc)
Appointment (vibrate, no media volume)
Meeting (silent, but LED light)
Night (silent, except alarms, no LED light)

So I just hit Q repeatedly to get to my desired profile

Sure, if you download tasker and then setup a task that changes volume profiles depending on a variable (i'll attach a few screenshots of mine). Basically it just switches from profile to profile depending on a variable called %Volumevar - 1 being default, 2 being appointment, 3 meeting, etc

I throw a few other things in there like LED light state, etc

Once you have that working you can just assign a "shortcut" to whatever key you want - when assigning the key -- look under shortcuts and find "tasker shortcut" and select the one you created
