How do I know if Quick Charge is "ON"? On my old phone, there is a circle around the bolt and followed by "quick charge". On the Key2, it only says "charge mode".

    Thanks!

I noticed that when quick charge is on, the top bar on the screen turns green. When quick charge is off, there is an indicator line from the bottom of the screen to the right of the screen

That's strange... I used the charger that came with the box and I see the indicator line at the bottom right of the screen going upwards.

When you pplugin your charger, a pop-up will show at the bottom of the screen where you can select normal of quick charging.

And if I am correct, via the power center app you can also set when to use quick charge and when not

unless you've turned the animations completely OFF in the Developer Settings - they circle (animation) dissappears after that.

Even if animations are off and you don't have the circle, you can change charge setting via the notification. Check there and choose to always use boost charge when plugged for exemple, or what to shutdown during the boost mode...
    Hope that helps.

    So boost mode = QC?

I haven't tried boost mode, not sure what negative effects it may have on the battery. Even in the normal charge mode, it completely charges in a little over than an hour which to me, is like QC3.0 speeds.

Please do not confuse QuickCharge and Boost mode. While they have the same purpose (faster charging), they are quite different:

    * QuickCharge allows delivering more power from charger to the phone. It requires support from the charger.
    * Boost mode reduces power usage while charging, it is ± power saver when charging. The power rate from charger to the phone stays the same (if the phone can utilize it), but the battery charges faster due to reduced power consumption of other components.

Note that might have little-to-zero effect when the battery becomes almost full (say > 80 %), because safety measures probably reduce power delivery at this stage of charging.

You can adjust the boost mode settings.

I'm using the PitchBlack theme, that's why my background is dark with a red accent. Quick Charge Indicator?-screenshot_20190210-173519.jpegQuick Charge Indicator?-screenshot_20190210-173529.jpeg
