I hope the pricing of the new Key2 will be the same as the keyone was. with the specs so far I cant see paying a much higher price.

Depends how much you value the keyboard and security features.

But I'd say the SD 660 and 6gb RAM isn't laughable by any means.

I think it will be $599. OnePlus 6 128gb model is $579 but no tax. Sounds like direct competition to k2. I noticed that OnePlus 6 camera is not nearly good as pixel 2 so maybe k2 camera might be better OnePlus 6.

Unless the OnePlus 6 has a PKB, it's not a *direct* competitor.

There are no other PKB smartphone so only closest flagship phone will be OnePlus 6 with similar price range.

Yes, but "closest" is not the same as "direct" as you said earlier. That's what I pointed out.

A Ford Mustang GT, a Honda Odyssey, and a Chevy Silverado 2500 are the same price too. Are they direct competitors?

But we need want competition no? Competition makes blackberry stronger! That's why I was comparing them with flagship phone like OnePlus 6. K2 will be flagship phone that will compete with other Android and iOS.

The Key2 will be the best android BB PKB device ever launched . The specs offered looks awesome. USD 500 to 550 will be a competitive price IMO.

Agreed. TCL is still trying to build the market for BlackBerry phones and they need to get phones in people's hands. That price range is also needed if they ever hope to get fleet sales.

Yes, I agree a price of $500-550 US dollars would be very competitive, but I am skeptical and being realistic it will be priced in that price range... 🤔

Doesn’t matter what they price it at I’m prepared for the onslaught of “ too expensive “ posts

If they really do have a KEY² and a KEY² Lite, then they will probably straddle the KEYᵒⁿᵉ launch price (which was $549).

    So maybe $599 and $499 ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree. K2 will be at least $200 more expensive than the other similar spec'ed phones but you have for premium if you want PKB. I think it will be minimum $599.

I doubt it will be $399. Keyone Black edition is $549 with snapdragon 625 4gb ram. K2 is snapdragon 660 6gb ram. It might be close to blackberry PRIV launch price.

Lite suggests a cheaper version. Otherwise they would go with K2 and K2 plus/premium. Unless the lite version is only an internal codename and the actual marketed names will be different.

    Lite+normal ($399 and $599)
    Normal+premium ($549 and $699)

    Just a question of perception.

Hope if they got with premium after reading my post, I'll get my cut or at least one free device

The Lack Edition is made for IKEA employees (since Lack is one of their cheap furniture series) lol.

This is the right guess, if not more.

KEYone Bronze Edition is still rolling out globally at the same original $549 ($4298 HKD) price, so this will slot above it.

I wish KEYone priced didn't take so long to drop to $300. Looks like the price of the Key2 would be its achilles heel as well based on Blackberry's pricing of the KEYone. May be $650-750 dare i say.
