Thanks. Fingers crossed!
Thanks. Fingers crossed!
Have been running BlackBerry Keyboard App without optimization since your post. Don't notice a lot of difference yet. Will keep testing! Thanks for the suggestion! Cheers,

Go to 5:04. That's 2 swipes on the middle word.
Nuff said.
I've posted several times that even after 5 swipe-ups the word never was replaced and I have to touch the word for it to be replaced. If a maximum of two swipe-ups was all it took I would consider that a major fix.
I just received an email from Tech Support asking for my phones build number. I'm not sure if that has any substantial significance, especially since the phone is a refurbished replacement for my original KEY².
Interesting... please keep us updated... 👍
Bob
Just received a reply. Not really sure what their looking into, swipe-up issue causes I hope.
I sent an email updating my representative earlier this week with my findings after updating to ABR886 OTA and asking a couple of other questions. I have yet to get a response.

Just received a reply from my Rep. Word is, that there is nothing to report. How frustrating!
Did you expect any thing not frustrating from them? That is their specialty.
As we all are aware... they don't know anything. That's why there is nothing new to report... at least they are consistent across the board.
Bob
It is a mystery why the support people aren't told any thing that can be passed on to their looooong suffering customers. Maybe it is just as frustrating for them as well as us.
I have always felt that the BlackBerry Technical Support representatives are not informed with information regarding some if not all serious technical issues. Their ability to resolve technical issues is extremely limited based on what they are told and given for resources.
They are very quick with their efforts to close open cases as I have no doubt that is how they are instructed. The representatives are very personable and responsive and I do believe their intentions are genuine... but they are no doubt frustrated like us at times as they aren't able to resolve some issues... like the PKB sensitivity issue.

Bump
What? Are you guys trying to get me to love you?!? Well done and the right thing to do! To whom do we owe praise? [emoji16]
Let’s just keep on topic of thread LMAO for now.... round up your Key2 Crew and climb up on your 2K count soapbox. Whether right or wrong, fight the good fight... why does that sound like a Canadian rock band?
Yes... Miracles can and do happen... 👍
Bob
No soap box, would just love to get a fix for all members affected and other wise! Thanks,
Nothing has changed on my end with the PKB sensitivity issue... I'm still suffering with having to do multiple swipes for middle words more often than not... 😓
Bob
I have received some feedback from a friend who have the latest update. He has responded with some positives but once the honeymoon period is over, we shall find out this shapes up.
PS: Thanks again for opening this thread up!
My sensitive issue is not resolved yet and my key2 March security updates. I am currently typing with my PRIV and swipe up works beautifully! I wonder how blackberry LTD was able to perfect the sensitivity for PRIV.
BTW, my PRIV has October 2017 security update.
I use my PRIV occasionally as well on WiFi to send emails and the difference with the PKB when swiping predicted words is flawless in comparison to the KEY2. No multiple swipes needed. I share your thoughts as to why BlackBerry got it right on the PRIV, and from reports on the Passport, and BlackBerry Mobile clearly didn't on the KEY2.
Bob
My understanding is that Key2 LE does not have this problem either.
;-)
No it doesn't Chuck! Because it does not have a Capacitive Keyboard! [emoji23]
Ah, thanks for the information since I’m new around here....../s
