I just put my pre-order for Best Buy pickup. Just checking did anyone who went to the NYC Pop Up get an e-mail with a discount code of some kind? I'm going to assume no. Would make 2 years in a row they stiffed us on some type of savings for the early adopters despite telling us so.

At the pop up store multiple people there affiliated with Blackberry said to me if you gave your e-mail at the door, they'd e-mail you a code for a discount on the Key2. I'd still think it's a little overpriced but paying $550 or even $600 would make anyone feel just a tad better.

Last year it was mentioned there were going to be bundles of some kind for the KEYone which never came to be. Would have been nice to be able to buy a KEYone bundled with say a micro SD or the OEM case of your choice and save even a few bucks.

Scratch that. Got the e-mail maybe an hour or so ago. $50 coupon, plus had $10 in reward zone so I canceled and re-ordered my KEY2 for now $590+tax. Forgot to change it to store pickup like I had originally so gotta call to see if they can change it since I can't seem to on my menu.

Don't suppose you could use that coupon more than once? <hint, hint>

To be honest I almost ordered the Key2 this morning, but still did not decide on the color
Thanks for pointing out that I have a $50 coupon in my inbox, I did not even notice initially.

EDIT: important fine print: *Coupon valid 6/29/2018 - 7/15/2018.

Btw, will people stop whining about the price being +$100 comparing to the KeyONE launch now?

Only a few hundred people max got the coupon, so no.

A few hundred? I thought it's everyone who registered to the blackberry notification to get the email once available in the US. With 900k sales of the K1 i guess it's at lease a few thousands

OP said only people who went to the popup store in NYC, which was there for 2 days in June, were offered the code.

My code was random letters and numbers. So I'm gonna assume every coupon is unique.

Yeah. So if 1 really wanted to save the $50 you gotta find somebody who went to the pop up store and has 0 intention of buying a KEY2 between now and the 15th.

From the looks of it Best Buy switched to shipping only around the time I got my email so you will sacrifice in-store pickup unless they open that up again later. I hope they do. Called Customer Service and even they couldn't get me back to an in store pickup.

Oh, OK! I made an assumption too early and did not read the whole post. Thanks for the explanation. Let me get in touch with the friend who went there only for free drinks and doesn't really plan to buy one.

It's actually $150 more than when the KEYone launched.

Nope. 649-549=100. We can't argue about this.

You sure? Because I remember paying $499.00 for the KEYone when it first came out because I bought it from the UK and had it shipped to the U. S. because it wasn't on sale here yet

It was $549 at launch. Dropped to $499 around Christmas time.
