I mentioned this in the accessories thread. But given that there are so many cables out there that whose build quality are dubious, I felt I needed to mention Monoprice's offering:

These are 3-amp 30AWG, aluminum extruded ends, and USB-3.1 Gen 2 certified (i.e., carrying the "SS10" symbol) meaning they have a certified bandwith of 10 Gb/s, therefore, making them quite future-proof for the next few years. These come with the required resistor to prevent surges due to incompatabilities.
I have four of these and by far these are the best bang-buck cables I've found. You can tell these are the boss simply by how thick the cables are (5 mm).
For $7.99, it's quite a bargain. Using this cable in combination with a QC3.0 charger does get me a peak charge current of 3400 mA (measured using the Ampere app). 50% charge does come scary fast at around 30-35 mins.
