Most of you aware the problems I have been facing since there was a fall.

I have just disassembled my key2 to troubleshoot keyboard backlight issue( backlight was completely off in all the lighting conditions)

Found below two wires are already disconnected. Does anyone knows what are these wires and how they impact the functionality if they got disconnected?

Why not send it to an authorized repair shop? It would be sorted right and quickly! Good luck,

Those are antenna wires. At least one is WiFi.

Did you try reconnect them to see what the effect was?

They have nothing to do with your keyboard btw but you must have really bad reception issues. Or is that your next issue?

Did the backlight work when you first replaced the keyboard?

Did you by any chance break the pin connector on the motherboard on the white wire? Something doesn't look right in your picture. Looks like a solder ball. That wire is two conductor btw.

I believe Troy answered. Yamahammer also gave possibilities now and noticed another issue. Take it to Optiemus authorized repair center.

I used to repair phones as a side business, and they're just smaller versions of the antenna wires used inside laptops, which I've also repaired as a side business/hobby.

No authorized service center in Hyderabad, India

Frankly an authorized service center probably wouldn't touch that phone given that you have opened it up and messed with it. It might also be difficult to find anybody to service the phone due to the likely possibility they won't be able to fix it and therefore wouldn't get paid.

I can't tell much from that fuzzy picture, but the antenna connector is a push-on/snap-on socket. The one on the top of this picture is connected to its socket, and there's a second, larger socket without a connector below it.




You simply align the connector with the socket and press down until it snaps into place - of course that's easier if you are wearing some magnifiers and can see what you're doing, as these are very small parts.

Indeed but if you don't take care removing the wire connector properly it can (and does) cause the socket to lift off the motherboard. From what I've seen and read there is no way to reconnect it to the motherboard unless you have access to a hot air soldering kit and use lots of flux.

@babugaru1 Sorry that I have to say the following but I hope you understand why I say it.

When you come here asking for help it would be in your best interest to divulge all of the issues that you are facing. There are many of us that take the time to help and spend hours researching in order to help you.

In the last month you have had problems with keyboard capacitive scrolling, USB issues, keyboard backlight issues and all of a sudden it is now divulged that you have camera and battery issues. If you had said that in the first place I would have recommended that you throw the phone in the trash bin.

You are wasting people's time and effort.

So one last go.... What exactly are all of the problems you are having with your phone?

The other end of both the wires are not connected to motherboard. Is this normal?

Did the backlight work when you first replaced the keyboard?

I'm not able to recollect if it was working or not. Not able to recollect if this issue has just started happening since Keybaord replacement.
