In my key2 Facebook Messenger notifications are often delayed. Sometimes I have to open the app to have them appear on the screen. In some cases, I get the circle on the screen, but it is of a gray colour and if you tap on it, it just disappear without letting you go through the chat. Some people using Fb Messenger are getting annoyed about it, as they believe I don't want to talk to them. I made some resets and changed the battery, as it had lost power due to overuse, but the state of the app didn't change. Thanks in advance to anyone who might provide some advice about this

Try this:

Settings > Apps & notifications > Facebook Messenger > Data Usage

Make sure both Background data and Unrestricted data usage settings are enabled.

Also try deleting the cache:

Settings > Apps & notifications > Facebook Messenger > Storage

Tap Clear Cache.

Restart the device.

Additionally check Settings / Battery / 3 dots / Battery optimization and turn off the optimization for messenger. "Optimization" of battery usage is nothing else just not allowing the app to work in the background

Thanks to everybody! I have cleared the App cache and data. For now, it seems to work flawlessly. I will monitor it
