Hi.
I'm a very happy long term BB user who never got into programmable keys.
Recently, I've been having trouble with something and I suspect I've accidentally assigned a short cut to my volume up button.
I need help to clear this from the button and I"m hoping someone can help to guide me.

When I press volume up while watching a video, the phone screen immediately goes black and then returns me to the lock screen.

It seems to be application agnostic (fb video, you tube etc)

Volume up is working properly while on calls , whats app etc.
Its just when i'm trying to watch play back.

Suggestions anyone?
I LOVE my key 2 but i'm finding this maddening.

Do you have any apps installed that would allow you to reassign buttons because there's nothing built-in that would make any real adjustments to the volume keys specifically. If so, delete that app and it should resolve itself. If not, then you may wish to consider a factory reset. It's a slight annoyance but will likely fix the issue for you, which is arguably more annoying.

Thanks for your answer, no I don't have anything installed that I can think of, i've scrolled thru my apps this morning and am getting no where quickly on it. The fact that its happening ins such a particular setting makes me think its software not hardware related but its driving me a bit insane.

Try clearing YouTube data or perhaps uninstall and reinstall it to test if it'll clean up something.
If it works then you can do the same Facebook.
