You do make a point, but the PKB should be structurally perfect.

Spacebar reports weren't a one-off issue, there were multiple reports of them, although of course not nearly as bad as early Silver KEYone screen lifts.

Still, BBMo should have halted the assembly lines and revised all models still being built as soon as the first reports came in about loose/wobbly/rattly spacebars, and not 8 months later with batches that are nearly impossible to find.
And for them to have seen those reports, yes they should have dedicated someone to lurk around these forums periodically in the launch month and take note of any issues that people would be having.
Right. What is the BB brand known for? Privacy, security, and the pkb. IMO there should be zero issues with the pkb, as it's the primary reason anyone would buy a BB in 2018 or 2019.

Edit: The only ppl willing to give TCL a pass on this are BB loyalists. New customers will go right back to their iPhones or other Android OEMs.

    Fully agree.

Any reluctant customer who finally said to themselves that they'll give the brand another shot, and then pays $649 for a KEY2 which then developed spacebar issues, will probably never come back again, no matter how much you tell him/her that the LE/KEY3/KEY4 is perfect.

Hopefully this wasn't the case too much because you kind of have to be somewhat of a loyalist to spend the $649 in the first place.
Maybe not as much for the $399 / $449 LE.

Has this issue also affected the KEY2 LE, or is it limited to the KEY2?

The LE is absolutely NOT affected.

I think there are more cases of loose/wobbly feeling spacebars which work just fine, than there are of partially defective spacebars.

A genuine issue would be if someone's spacebar doesn't register a space 100% of the time.
However, whether a loose/wobbly feeling spacebar qualifies as an "issue" depends on that user's OCD levels

For an added bonus, those of us unlucky enough to get a bad PKB from launch (the number is not just a few as BlackBerry has focussed support on the issue for months) are told that they will replace our PKB's but cannot under any circumstances guarantee a recently built PKB, thus, a crap shoot again to add insult to injury! This is sad, but true!

PS - the PKB software fixes have helped immensely, however, still not a proper BlackBerry experience!

The LE has no capacitive function! Thus no software issues.
