Correct and pretty standard for industry. Enhanced calling features are simple way that carriers are permitted to require hardware is purchased through said carrier for all features to be enabled. It also means hardware can be carrier unlocked to switch carriers but typically won’t be fully enabled on replacement carrier.

I'm telling you! I don't even know why I waste my time. I always try a different color and end up with a black one. I had it with the passport had white/black/silver/then back to black. The key2 silver then the LE slate and now black. I'm sure if I get myself the red I'll switch back to the black so I'll just stay put.

The ONLY reason that I'm using the Red KEY2 is because it has improvements to the keyboard, otherwise I'd be using a Silver or Black one.

So yes, there is more to this device variant than its paint job and red headphones.

Well I just got a black one not to long ago and the keyboard works compared to the silver key2 I originally had. So in my case it didn't make any sense to get the red one.

It's 08/21/2018 if I remember correctly I think I may have shared it once I got it. I was surprised myself that it worked. But that's all that really matters at the end of the day that it works not how long it's been sitting waiting to be sold in my opinion.

Yes, because the key2 prior to this one was horrible (keyboard swipe gestures were off the hook) now it almost feels passport like

I see, an unwanted one as well. Brought back memories of the double type on the Q10. However BlackBerry send out a fix. Took a little longer than expected but they did fix it. The key2 was a failure the first time around for me.

Doubtful. If you want one you're going to have to buy on eBay or Amazon third party.

Stock is available on Amazon in Italy, not on the other European Amazon websites. Price is around 695 euro.

I'm guessing that would be the BBF100-1, which does not have the correct bands to work in America and Canada.

I believe it is model BBF100-6 actually but the bands are identical to BBF100-1 I think.
