For how much BlackBerry's don't sell and no one is buying them talk, people on EBay think otherwise.

Sure the KEY² LE is being sold used for around the 300$ mark but asking prices for KEY²'s are astronomical!

Complete packages for the Atomic Red are 900 to over 1,000$ . While just a used phone with scratches and nicks, no charger or headphones, some have a replacement charger are 500+.

KEYone 300-700$!

Also, Priv's are still 400-500$

I am aware these are asking prices but why would anyone think they could get this type of money if these phones don't sell ?

I can vouch for ebay, I bought mine for 550ish CAD, and it came in perfect condition with a box and all accessories. if interested, hit me up and I can share who the seller was... dunno if he has any, but it's worth a try

I've purchased both my passport and priv of the bay, both of them in excellent condition
Maybe I have been lucky but I would not purchase without the box and charger or if visible marks like scratches or even marks around the charging port.

No problem, I took a look and it says: 20180704.

Just in case it matters, I went outta my way to get the silver variant since it looked so darn good compared to the all black which I found were more readily available, especially in store. So this eBay purchase got me what I wanted. Cheers!

So I wonder if March 2019 was the date that they actually made changes to the way it was assembled.

Or, when you say "not as solid", do you mean that it just has a higher pitched and easier click than the other keys? Because that's normal across all KEY2's

It just has slightly more play than the rest of the keys, not sure how a 'solid' Key2 spacebar would feel like. In comparison with a relatives LE, it has a tiny bit of a wobble though. Not bothered about it in the least.

This phone should be $599 cnd by now.. it's going onto 2yrs since release.. They'd sell a lot of KEY2 (I'd buy two immediately as my one is water damaged slightly and I'd have a backup as no KEY3's are in sight).

Well actually they're kind of already doing it since they're still selling the KEYone which all variants (except maybe for AT&T) have stopped getting any updates since last April.

Retail 101, if sales are steady and will last until planned closure, no reason to cut price. That’s just leaving money on table. Who leaves money behind?

But TCL doesn’t need the devices to sell right now other than be available for sale. It’s like a sitcom television set just for appearances only.

They're still some of the only devices with keyboards, so they got that going for themselves.

If the situation were the same but it were the Plex slabs which had a tough time flying off the shelves, you can bet that TCL would be panicking and discounting them.

Because slabs become irrelevant real fast.
